2D Design Assignment 1
It was so surprised that our lecturer ask us to draw self portrait for assignment 1. I‘m a person who like to draw but I do not like to draw human face. And I do not like to look at myself because my skin is terrible. However I still need to finish this assignment.
Unconventional
Self Portrait
First, I started with pencil sketching. I took a lot of time to finish this but I'm still not satisfied with that.
Then, I continued with stylized myself. I played with dots, lines, colour and shapes.
I also did some continuous drawing of myself. It sounds easy when our lecturer ask ask to try on it. But when I start to try on it, I felt that it is hard.
This is my final product for this assignment. It was inspired by Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci and Star Wars. I love Da Vinci's artwork and also Star Wars movie, that is why I combined two of the idea to form my final product. This is the first time I use poster colour to paint a human. It is very challenging. I also put some continuous drawing of myself at the background by using liquid paper.
