2D Design Assignment 3
Emotional Illustrartion
For this assignment, we are required to create a set of triptych image in a set of triptych of 3 X A3. This illustration is to be inspired by the narratives you have collected of literary material, for example music lyrics, self written or someone's written short poetry, short story, documentary article and etc. These material must touch our emotional cord deeply.
I choose a Chinese song “烟火里的尘埃-华晨宇“ The Dust in the Fireworks by a famous singer from China, Hua Chenyu. I love this song very much, because of the lyrics. The lyrics in this song touch my feeling deeply. The loneliness, desperation, and sadness.
Firstly, I list out the lyrics which touch my feeling the most. Then I try to sketch them out. This is how the lyric look like in my imagination.
After I paint them out, I realized that I can combine them with one more part of lyric to make it look better and more meaningful.
Then, I combine three part of the lyric and sketch it out.
This is my final product for assignment 3. A man sitting on the desert lonely, he is looking at the tree and waiting for bloom. People will think that it is impossible to find a flower in desert, they feel that the man is so weird and stupid. Actually, there is flower in desert, which is cactus's flower but the man does not realized. Sometimes, we need to look around. Time is passing, we can not just waiting for something impossible. After fireworks, the only thing remain is dust. There is dust on the tree and around the air, the dust are dancing freely and no one saw them.
