MONOGRAM
For this assignment, we need to develop our own personal monogram which reflects our personal style as a person and a designer. And we need to create stencils using the approved monogram.
I took the alphabets W and J from my name and start to sketch it randomly.
Next, I develop one the alphabet WJ. I join, mix, replace, resize and play with them.
Then I try to mind map about myself. I want to create a meaningful monogram for myself.
I chosen the design which look like a dragon, because my Chinese zodiac is Dragon. And I try to develop it more with adding a snake head. The reason is, I have a skin disease call Shingles. For traditional Chinese people, they believe that there is a snake on your body if you are having Shingles. For this monogram, I try to show that I'm a dragon with a snake on the same body.
After that, I also try on different materials to make my monogram. But at the end, I still choose the first one which is the normal one as my monogram. Black and White is more suitable for me just because I'm a colour blind.
After I chose out my monogram, I start to think about the stencils which I need to summit for this assignment.
I sketch and wrote down my idea, then I start to make it.
These are my final product for this assignment.
I call them as MY Motivation Set
All of this are to remind myself about my dream. They also can remind and motivate to put more efforts to reach my dream.
